Sandra Neumann, PT, Cert. MDT

Clinic Director & Physical Therapist, East Windsor, NJ, ImPACT Credentialed

Sandy graduated from Ohio University School of Physical Therapy in 1992 and later received a Master’s degree in Motor Learning and Motor Control from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She began her physical therapy career at JFK Medical Center where she was able to gain valuable experience in a wide range of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and post-traumatic brain injury. After four years at JFK Sandy found her first passion working at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute’s Center for Head Injuries with patients with vestibular and balance dysfunctions following mild traumatic brain injury. Later Sandy’s career interests expanded when she moved to Mercer County and began working in outpatient physical therapy. In 1999 she became certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment, a specialized approach to the evaluation and treatment of spinal pain. Sandy feels strongly that manual therapy is the hallmark of quality physical therapy care and throughout her career has applied herself to gaining expertise in various manual techniques including joint mobilization, myofascial release, and the Mulligan method. Recently, Sandy has seen an opportunity to combine her expertise with the treatment of vestibular and balance disorders following mild traumatic brain injury and her expertise with treating cervical spine disorders to the current need for treatment of patients post-concussion. Sandy is now certified in the ImPact method of post-concussive therapy which combines evaluation and treatment of cervical, vestibular, and visual deficits following concussion while providing a guideline for determining readiness for return to sports following a concussion. When not in the clinic Sandy can usually be found cheering on her children at their many sporting events including soccer, basketball, football, and lacrosse. Sandy has been the clinical director at the East Windsor office since 2012
