Mike Manzo, PT, MPT

Chief Executive Officer & Physical Therapist

Michael Manzo was born and raised in Toms River, NJ. A graduate of Monsignor Donovan High School (1993), Gettysburg College (1997), and MCP/Hahnemann University – now Drexel University – where he earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy (1999), Mike has been committed to athletics and rehabilitation throughout his career.

During his time at Gettysburg College, where he played varsity basketball and baseball, a torn ACL in 1994 introduced him to and inspired his passion for physical therapy. Since then, Mike has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the field, co-founding Atlantic Physical Therapy Center (APTC) in 2001 alongside his brother, Dave Manzo. Under Mike’s leadership as CEO and working as a physical therapist himself, APTC has expanded from a single office in Freehold, NJ, to over 30 locations across Ocean, Monmouth, Mercer, and Middlesex Counties. In 2015, APTC was honored as the Physical Therapy Practice of the Year at WebPT’s Ascend Business Summit in Chicago.

Mike’s contributions to the field have been recognized by his alma mater, Gettysburg College, where he received the prestigious Young Alumni Award for Career Development. Today, Atlantic Physical Therapy Center offers a wide range of services including physical and occupational therapy, Certified Hand Therapy, Pelvic Health & Wellness, Concussion Management, Personal Training & Exercise and Physiology. Professional athletes from Major League Baseball, the NBA, professional football, and the UFC have sought out APTC’s expert rehabilitative services.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike is deeply committed to his community. He serves as the Chair of the Ocean County College Foundation Board, is a member of the St. Joseph’s Century Club Board of Governors, and actively contributes to the Manasquan Park Property Owners Association. As a coach of youth sports teams and a mentor to many, Mike believes in giving back to the community that has supported him.

In his personal life, Mike resides in Wall Township, NJ, with his wife Lauren and their four children: Emily, Maddie, Abby, and Brady. When he’s not working with patients or fostering the growth of the Atlantic PT Center team, he often is surfing the waves of Manasquan, NJ, on his stand-up paddleboard or spending quality time with his family.
