Marcus Adams, PT, DPT
Manchester Physical Therapist
Marcus earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in 1996, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, School of Health Related Professions (now part of Rutgers University).
Marcus discovered his passion for physical therapy through his own sports experiences. Having played multiple sports in high school and college, he experienced injuries that required rehab from trainers and physical therapists. A significant ankle injury during his first year of college soccer inspired him to help others regain their strength and return to the activities they love.
He treats general orthopedics and geriatric patients and holds a McKenzie MDT certification for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the spine and extremities, as well as a Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 certification for golf. He also has completed extensive continuing education in SFMA, Rocktape, and IASTM. Marcus takes pride in helping patients improve their quality of life, whether returning to sports or everyday activities.
Outside of work, Marcus enjoys indoor and beach volleyball, competing in 2v2 tournaments along the Jersey Shore, playing and watching soccer, and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. He also enjoys kayaking and paddleboarding in the local rivers and ocean, as well as traveling with his family.
