John Gillam earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Widener University in 2011. His passion for physical therapy began after undergoing Tommy John surgery, where he experienced the rehabilitation process firsthand. Inspired by the positive impact his therapists had on his recovery, John began volunteering in the clinic after his treatment sessions. That experience confirmed his desire to pursue physical therapy as a career.

John is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his patients and believes that understanding each person’s unique goals is key to successful rehabilitation. He especially enjoys helping individuals relieve chronic pain, restore function, and return to the activities and hobbies they love most.

For John, the most rewarding aspect of being a physical therapist is seeing patients regain their confidence, improve their quality of life, and get back to doing what matters most to them.
