Amanada Luongo, PT, DPT
Somerset Clinic Director & Physical Therapist
Amanda Luongo earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Kinesiology from Rutgers University in 2018 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2022.
Her passion for physical therapy began at just 10 years old, when she accompanied her grandfather to therapy following his triple bypass surgery. Watching his recovery and seeing how physical therapy helped him regain his balance and independence left a lasting impression and inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others do the same.
Amanda is especially inspired to work with the senior population and enjoys helping older adults maintain mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. She has a particular interest in working with patients following joint replacement surgery and guiding them through every stage of their recovery, while also enjoying the opportunity to treat patients of all ages and diagnoses. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and finds it most rewarding to help them return to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of the clinic, Amanda is an avid Yankees fan who enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and visiting roller coaster parks around the country. Fun fact: she’s also a big fan of capybaras!
