When did you start working for APTC?
August 2011

What position did you start with?
PT in Freehold, in Schanck Road Office

What is your position now?
Area Director for Shrews, Ocean, Howell, RB and FH and Director (founder) of Pelvic Health and Wellness Center

What is your favorite thing about working for APTC ?
Watching aides turn into students, turn into PTs, turn into clinical directors

What is your favorite memory from working at APTC?
I HAVE NO IDEA!
Moving out of the Schanck Road office, after popping a bottle of champagne on a Friday after work and having a feeling that it was the beginning of something greater to come.
All I can think of is Christmas parties, and weddings with the APTC crew.

Why have you stayed with APTC for so long?
I loved watching the company grow and being able to grow with it.  Even as it has grown, the values, care and close-knit foundation has never changed.  I never anticipated getting into Pelvic Health, but APTC stood behind me and allowed me the opportunity to grow in that field and make it a part of our company.

What do you hope for your future with APTC?

I want to continue to grow the awareness and care of the f Pelvic Health and Wellness center.  I would love to be able to reach out more into the community with education and continue to teach and empower people about their bodies.  Especially pelvic floor health, by helping to get rid of the taboo and shaming behindmany of the problems associated with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Theresa Wilk Feeley, PT, DPT,

Director of the Pelvic Health & Wellness Center

When did you start working for APTC?
November 2006

What position did you start with? Staff PT in our original Freehold office with shared waiting room for Seaview Orthopedic

What is your position now? Now director of the Howell Office/Concussion Center

What is your favorite thing about working for APTC ? That despite our growth we strive to keep the core things that Mike started this company with and have gotten us to this point at the forefront of everything that we do. I also love to see when young patients go on to become aides, then go off to PT school and come back and work for us as therapists. It shows just how much we made an impact on their lives and that they wanted to do that with their lives.

What is your favorite memory from working at APTC? I have a few patients that I have treated that have been really challenging physically and emotionally, and once we had finished therapy they had written me cards that just meant the world to me. I keep those in a pocket of my work bag every day.

Why have you stayed with APTC for so long? As the years have passed, I have seen not only how I have grown as a person/therapist here, but how the company has grown into something bigger but also better in all aspects. I have seen patients become aides, become student PTs, and then into PTs for the company, and that shows just what kind of job we do here and why people want to be part of it.

What do you hope for your future with APTC? I just want to continue to grow with Atlantic as it continues to grow, and to help the younger generation of staff to be the best that they can be, and as long as we continue to do what we have done and stick to our core values, the sky is the limit!

Chris Beltran, PT, DPT, Certified in Concussion and Vestibular

Director of Concussion Management Center and Howell Location

When did you start working for APTC?
2002

What position did you start with? I started as an aide and then after physical therapy school was hired as a staff physical therapist. From there grew into the roll of clinical director, area director, and then became a partner and clinical coordinator of Atlantic.

What is your position now? Partner and Clinical Coordinator of Atlantic.

What is your favorite thing about working for APTC ? My favorite thing about working for APTC is the team and family atmosphere.  Everyone truly works together as a team, and helps each other out in and outside of work. It is like a big family with everyone is there for each other. It is great seeing the many friendships that have developed along the way. Even though the company has continued to grow over the years this team/family atmosphere has never been lost and is a true testament to the founders Mike and Dave Manzo and their philosophy.

What is your favorite memory from working at APTC? My favorite memory of APTC is seeing the growth of the company and those around me. I remember when it was only a couple of offices and to think how we were operating then compared to now. To think where we are today would not have been a thought in my mind way back in the day, and I would have been scared at the thought.

Why have you stayed with APTC for so long? There are so many reasons why I stayed with APTC for so long. One being is the overall philosophy and atmosphere of the company that has been built. There is a great culture here. I am a big sports fan, and too often you see players changing teams all the time. With Atlantic they are one of the best companies out there that take care of their “players, or in reality “teammates”, and it goes a long way. Finding this quality in companies nowadays is rare, but Atlantic nails it.

What do you hope for your future with APTC? I hope to help APTC continue to grow and foster the caring atmosphere that has been created and extend the mission statement of APTC into the communities around us. Also, to help those around me to grow within the company and make strides in the field of physical therapy and become some of the great leaders of tomorrow.

What position did you start with?
Staff physical therapist in the Freehold office

What is your position now?
Director of the Lacey office

What is your favorite thing about working for APTC ?
It is truly like a family and they have fostered such an amazing work atmosphere that going to work is fun and I look forward to hanging out with my work family every day.

What is your favorite memory from working at APTC?
I have so many! I love our “theme” Fridays where patients participate in wearing hawaiian shirts or ugly christmas sweaters or whatever wacky thing I have planned and I always love the outings with the PT’s/staff so we can all hang out outside work and unwind. My favorite memory though might be the time I was finished with one of my LSVT BIG clients and he did really well. His wife cried and said this the was best she has seen him move since his Parkinson’s Diagnosis. It just gave more confirmation of the amazing benefits of our profession and solidified my “why”.

Why have you stayed with APTC for so long?
Our bosses have always led by example and have taken care of us better than I could have ever imagined. They are down in the trenches with us and work so hard every day to make sure this company is the best it can be. They motivate, encourage, support, and care for all of us as if we were all family. Work has never felt like a chore or obligation. It has always felt like a privilege to work for this company, one that I will be forever grateful for. They have always encouraged us to specialize in anything we were passionate about and gave us the opportunity for growth both as employees and individuals. Our best interests have always been at the root of all of their decision making as a company. There is nowhere I would choose to work other than for the Manzo brothers and Atlantic Physical Therapy Center.

What do you hope for your future with APTC?
I plan to work at APTC until I can’t jump up on the tables anymore! 🙂 I would love to build a bigger Parkinson program eventually.
