Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial Cupping

is a technique used to encourage healing of damaged or tight tissue. Cupping consists of using plasitc dome-like cups, and uses negative pressure to or suction to draw up underlying tissue and bring blood and other healing fluid to the surface.

This is a helpful tool for the physical therapists because it targets the fascia in a way that massage and foam rollers do not. It can help loosen tight muscles, bring healing blood flow to old stagnant injuries, and help diagnose areas where tissue quality is poor.
